Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage is a therapeutic style of bodywork focused on parasympathetic activation and general body relief. An array of techniques to gently yet swiftly help the body while allowing the person to let go of the world. The benefits of this type of bodywork include relief from aches and pains, increased flexibility, decreased stress, enhanced thinking, and an easier time falling asleep. It is one of most common forms of massage and can be related to healing ocean waves along the body.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. NMT also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.

Body pain comes from a variety of causes and can vary in intensity, and NMT effectively treats this. It is a more invasive bodywork as the client has to be involved in moving and flexing and talking. The muscles may be unfamiliar with this form of touch or pressure and may be sore to the touch after a service. Communication with the therapist will be imperative to avoid unnecessary discomfort.

Heated Himalayan Salt Stones

Hot Stone Therapy is an effective style of massage where heated stones are massaged into your body to deepen relaxation and promote blood flow to your muscles. The heat quickly seeps through all the muscle layers and relaxes them much faster than can be done without heat, efficiently releasing all tension it may have been holding for a long time. The overall experience is very relaxing and rejuvenating. Himalayan Salt is known for its high nutrient content, mild exfoliation, and energetic balancing.

Recommended for clients with higher muscle tension and heavy ischemic tissue (knots). Clients with less muscle tension may not need a full body hot stone, and may benefit more from a Relaxation Massage with a focused application on the most needed area of their body.

Supercharge your massage with the best of both worlds! $5 for 1 part of your body or $15 for full body benefit.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active athletes. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries. Sports Massage enhances performance by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling, increase flexibility, and improve recovery rates by encouraging kinesthetic awareness. It can be performed both pre-event and post-event and varies depending what you are training for. Pre-event techniques will be fast-paced to excite your muscles and get them ready for action. Post-event techniques will be slow-paced to calm your muscles after the action. Stretching will be used both before and after the event.

Another important aspect of sports massage is that all muscles in your body are connected. So if you are a marathon runner and are experiencing pain in your shoulder, it may be that a muscle in your leg is not working properly and your shoulder is compensating, and you should consult with a Licensed Massage Therapist as soon as possible to gain your full potential back.
